Aloha, Welcome to ISLAND FRESH POETRY. To view my entire collection, refer to "Archives" on the bottom lefthand side. I hope you enjoy and no get offended. BIG MAHALO.

The Inflatable

Hawai'i watered down.
Aimless winds slither around.
Sneaking past dormant volcanoes.
Convulsing tourist inflatables.
Greedy enthusiasm advances always.
Adrift, stampedes spend ravenously away.
Shiny new age castaways.

This poem with a hidden message is my most complicated to date. If you don't want to see the hint stop reading this............Okay here's The Hint: The formula is 1-2-3, 1-2-3, 1-2-3, etc. Still don't get it. First word first letter, second word second letter, third word third letter, and repeat the process with the next word starting with the first letter.

WARNING some material may be offensive. But, heh..... It's Just Words....on a computer screen.........faka.

Overflowing

The lasting images unsurpassed.
Battle against nearsighted attacks.
Modern technology's aggressive hold.
Traumatic events still untold.
Overflowing.
Healing empty Hawaiian thrones.

This is another one of my poems with a hidden message. The formula is the same as "The Charleston". Hint: First letter of every word, start from the last word.

The Makapu'u Night

Late night hike to the top of Makapu'u.
I try to impress her with my Kamaka Uke.
Waves crash and crumble on the jagged rocks below.
The bonfire's reflection makes the koa grain glow.
A slight breeze, draws us closer to the heat.
The popping of ki'awe creates a calming melody.
Suddenly, the mood is shattered by a seabird's infant like cry.
The satellite above could care less and continues it's silent glide.

Tattered Tarps

Stirred by the sound of bubbling crests.
The salt air burns my first conscious breath.
Tattered tarps begin to chatter in the brisk amber morning.
A pair of Iwa birds, slowly emerge from the cliffside, circling and soaring.
I make my way to the waters edge, dragging most of my net behind me,
and scan the sand for anything, the currents left worth finding.

Das Jus What's Da Haps

Wake up with a haole chick in one tourist trap.
Das jus what's da haps.
Get back home, baby mama give me backhand slap.
Das jus what's da haps.
Den the pitbull get loose and the neighbor get attacked.
Das jus what's da haps.
A year later tell the story everybody bus' laugh.
Das jus what's da haps.

Brah, das jus what's da haps.

Tutu on my case cuz I neva on track.
Das jus what's da haps.
Got to rake up the all leaves from the mango tree in the back.
Das jus what's da haps.
Already late for work and the car gets one flat.
Das jus what's da haps.
Den the cop instead help, give me ticket for expired tax.
Das jus what's da haps.

Brah, das jus what's da haps.

Nowadays kind of crowded, hard fo' just relax.
Das jus what's da haps.
The line long cause tourist come to my plate lunch place in packs.
Das jus what's da haps.
I don't have a grassshack or a taro patch.
Das jus what's da haps.
But I love taking naps on lauhala mats.
Das jus what's da haps.

Brah, das jus what's da haps.

Crusin With My Susan

She got a style, drive this island boy wild.
And a smile, damn I wish she had my child,
Profile, she more banging than bang.
When she walk, she can't help but shake that thang.
On our first date, brah I was gone'z.
Now my youngest daughter calling her moms.
A day without her is a day too long.
I never do right so this must be wrong.
Now check it. She got moves that trip all the pimps out.
But they only adding to her tip out.
Miss out, all those that wanna hate.
Cause if you ain't in love then you can't relate.
I took a gamble but I ain't in Reno,
On this fly little sassy Filipino.
She wanna stick around for the sequel.
We can elope,
in a church in Hilo.
On the D-low
is how we keep it.
Even Victoria couldn't keep this secret.

I'm just crusin, with my Susan.

Wanders

Impatient naval hastened.
Aina ballistically invaded.
Toxic kindling altered harmony.
Operable outcast left afloat, wanders empty.

Check it out. Another puzzle in a poem. Same formula as last poem. Starting to have fun with these.
